Founded in 2010, our business has grown from a small warehouse‑based operation into what is now Canadian Optics - one of Western Canada’s trusted sources for thermal imaging, night vision optics, tactical gear, and army surplus.
From day one, we took a hands‑on approach. Without a storefront, we built our reputation by meeting customers directly, delivering products ourselves, and showing up at the events that mattered. For years, we’ve attended trade shows, outdoor shows, sportsman shows, and gun shows across Alberta and Western Canada — places where customers first got to know us, trust our expertise, and rely on us for the gear they need. Those long days — and longer highways — helped shape the relationships that still define who we are today.
Long before thermal optics became widely known in Canada, we were already putting them in the hands of hunters, farmers, and professionals — investing years into researching, testing, and refining advanced imaging systems, listening to our customers, and building the trust that comes from proven performance in the field. Our catalogue continues to grow with innovative, high‑performance gear that consistently exceeds expectations.
As demand grew, we continued expanding our product lineup and our technical expertise. Today, Canadian Optics offers cutting‑edge thermal scopes, viewers, perimeter‑security systems, and vehicle‑mounted thermal devices designed for the demanding environments of Western Canada.
